Celtics deal former PC star Dunn, Edwards to Memphis for Hernangomez, pick, reports say

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE)- The Boston Celtics are reportedly trading former Providence College star, Kris Dunn, and rotation guard Carsen Edwards to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Juancho Hernangomez and a 2026 second round pick.
The trade was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday afternoon.
The former Friar guard never got to suit up for the C’s after being dealt from Atlanta earlier this summer.
Edwards played 68 games in two seasons with Boston, averaging just 3.6 points per game in about 9 minutes.
Hernangomez, like Dunn, never played a game from the team he was dealt from. The Spaniard played 52 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, averaging 7.1 points per game in 17 minutes.
The Celtics will be looking for Hernangomez to stretch the floor. He’s shot 43% from the field and 35% from deep during his five-year NBA career.
This trade leaves the green with a full 15-man roster. There’s still potential for more shifting as Jabari Parker’s contract is non guaranteed and the team can waive him up until opening night on October 20.
