CENTRAL FALLS. R.I. (WLNE) –Central Falls broke ground on its new high school building Friday.
The new Central Falls High School will replace the current, nearly-100-year-old failing school building and will be located on Higginson Avenue.
The city said the $108 million building is set to include state-of-the-art classrooms, athletic facilities, and integrated Career Technical Education programs.
Construction will be funded through state bond funding.
“This new high school is a huge step forward for our city, and one of the best investments we can make,” Mayor Maria Rivera said.
