Central Falls City Councilman Arrested for Simple Assault

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — Central Falls City Councilor Kevin Kazarian was arrested over the weekend for simple assault.

According to the Central Fall Police, officers were dispatched for a well-being check at the City Councilors house around 10pm on Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Kazarian who invited the officers into his home. During the interaction he started acting erratic and became upset when officers attempted to evaluate him. Kazarian then placed his hands on fire and police personnel at which time he was placed under arrest for simple assault.

Kazarian was processed for the charge of simple assault and released.

ABC6 reached out to Councilor Kazarian for comment but have not heard back.
