Central Falls man arrested for Narcotics Distribution

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I.  – Members of the Central Falls Police Special Investigative Unit, Detective Bureau, and the Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force, executed a court authorized search warrant, Thursday, at 606 Dexter Street, on the second floor.

Authorities say upon arrival, detectives met with Jose Santiago (55), the renter of the apartment.

Santiago was detained at the house.

A thorough search was conducted where detectives located and seized a quantity of Heroin and Crack Cocaine.

Santiago was taken into custody and subsequently charged with: Manufacture and Delivery of Heroin; Manufacture and Delivery of Cocaine; and Distribution near a School Zone.

Santiago was arraigned this afternoon in District Court and held without bail.

He is scheduled back in court for a Bail Hearing on August 24.
