Central Falls police investigate reported break-in, shooting

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was shot after a reported break-in at his Central Falls home Monday night.

Police responded to Broad Street for a reported breaking and entering and shooting.

Officers said a 45-year-old man was shot in the leg at his residence. His name was not released.

Fire crews brought the man to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed.

The incident is under investigation.
