Central Falls to unveil city’s first tennis courts

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Central Falls will be unveiling their first tennis courts today.
Mayor Maria Rivera will be joined by Senator Jack Reed for the opening the city’s new public tennis courts on Sacred Heart Avenue.
The event, as well as the opening of the courts, will help raise awareness about free and reduced-fee lessons and equipment available to city residents of all ages.
All summer, students will be able to take tennis lessons for free, while adults will be able to take lessons with equipment at a reduced rate.
The opening of the tennis court is through a partnership between the city, Progeso Latino, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, and the U.S. Tennis Association of New England.
