Charge upgraded to murder in Mass. baby’s death

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) – A 23-year-old New Bedford man is charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend's infant daughter last month.
The Bristol County District Attorney's office said Friday that Ethen Harrison will be arraigned Tuesday on the upgraded charge. He's been held without bail since pleading not guilty to assault and child endangerment charges.
Prosecutor Stephen Nadeau said at the earlier arraignment Harrison was alone with 9-month-old Ariel Eluziario when she was hurt Jan. 24. , and acknowledged “certain acts'' consistent with her fatal injuries.
