CHARLESTOWN, MASS. — Temperatures in the single digits are not helping things in Charlestown as firefighters worked to put out a six-alarm fire early Friday morning.
The stubborn flames that poured out of a three story multi-family in Charlestown were difficult to extinguish as the water from the hoses froze making the street a sheet of ice.
Firefighters had to evacuate at one point fearing that the building would collapse.
No reports of injuries. However, 20 people are out of their homes.
