Charlotte Lester murder suspect held without bail

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Mark Perkins, the man accused in the murder of Charlotte Lester, is being held without bail.

Lester’s remains were discovered by a hunter in a wooded area near the Exeter-West Greenwich town line, and later lab testing confirmed the remains were Lester’s.

All this week, a judge heard witness testimony ahead of the decision.

That included the hunter who found her remains, and detectives who evaluated the recovered teeth and bones.
