Chelo’s donates $1 for every burger sold to help small businesses

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – As coronavirus restrictions hit local businesses hard, Chelo’s Hometown Bar and Grille is looking to help out.

Starting on January 25th, the restaurant will donate $1 for every hamburger sold at all of its locations.

The money will be added to the barstool fund, a national program started by Dave Portnoy, aka, El Presidente.

The money used has helped other businesses stay afloat through the pandemic, and will run through February 25th.

Chelo’s is a 3rd generation family business that has been part of the Rhode Island community for over 65 years.
