Chevalier to be introduced as new head of RI National Guard

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Governor Dan McKee will deliver remarks at the Rhode Island National Guard’s change of command ceremony Friday.

The ceremony will introduce Brigadier General Andrew J. Chevalier as the next Adjutant General of Rhode Island and Commanding General of the RI National Guard.

He’s replacing Major General Christopher P. Callahan, who is retiring after decades of dedicated service to Rhode Island.

The ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium at 2 p.m.
