Child found unresponsive in pool in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket Police said officers found an unresponsive child in a pool in Pawtucket on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to a call for a missing 9-year-old male on Marbury Street around 2:45 p.m.

Officials said a search of the area was conducted and the child was found unresponsive in a nearby pool.

The child was removed from the pool and life-saving measures were performed on the child. The child was transported to the Hasbro Emergency Room.

Officials said the incident is still under investigation.
