12-year-old boy struck by car in Worcester

WORCESTER, Mass. (WLNE) – A child was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Worcester Friday afternoon.

The Worcester Police Department confirmed a 12-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle around 3:14 p.m. on Pleasant St after getting off of a school bus.

WCVB reports that witnesses said the child seemed to have a head injury, but was conscious and moving.

Worcester Police say his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.

The incident is under investigation.
