Christmas Eve shooting leaves man with gun shot wounds in legs

Police are investigating a shooting that happened the night of Christmas Eve. Around 10pm, Police were dispatched to Rhode Island Hospital due to a male (27) walk-in shooting victim being treated for multiple gun shot wounds to both of his legs. Doctors say the injuries are non-life threatening.

The shooting reported to happen on Prairie Avenue where a caller claimed to have heard numerous gun shots. A resident claimed to have heard approximately 7-10 gun shots outside their home. Police investigated the area for evidence and found 8 spent shell casings and one projectile fragment in the parking lot of a on Prairie Ave along with damage to multiple vehicles.
