Hundreds of kids in Massachusetts will open gifts on Christmas morning thanks to the generosity of strangers.

The "Christmas for Kids" campaign took place in Attleboro Thursday. Every year, the organization helps to match families in need with people who will help get them presents.

This year, the outpouring of support has been strong. The donor center on County Street is already filled with gifts, which is a good thing, because they said the need is greater than ever.

"I think what’s the most astounding in our numbers this year are the number of homeless children in our area. From our numbers, it’s about tripled from where we were a year ago and that’s just incredibly difficult to even think about," says Kelly Fox, of Christmas for Kids.

The organization helps families in Attleboro, North Attleboro, Seekonk, Rehoboth, and Norton. Toys are being collected up until December 9th and delivered to families on the 15th. This is the 32nd year for the event.
