Cinnamon products added to FDA public health alert due to presence of elevated lead levels

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health is advising consumers to throw away certain cinnamon products due to elevated levels of lead exposure.
The FDA has determined that a list of cinnamon products tested by the state determined that the ground cinnamon products listed in the below contain elevated levels of lead and that exposure to these products may be unsafe.
