BOSTON, MASS (WLNE) – To celebrate the New England Patriots big win over the L.A Rams in Super Bowl LIII, the city of Boston will be hosting a duck boat parade on Tuesday, February 5.
The parade will kick off at 11 a.m from the Hynes Convention center on Boylston street.
The route takes a left onto Tremont street, and ends on Cambridge street.
Traffic on these streets will be shut down starting around 9 a.m on Tuesday morning.
There is no set time for when traffic will re-open, as it depends on the size of the parade. After the city of Boston has had the chance to clean up, they will start by opening Boylston street, followed by Tremont, then Cambridge.
The city advises people that if they park near the parade, please look for the street signs posted in the area. The signs will say, “no stopping Boston Police special event.”
Towing in these restricted areas will start at 6 a.m.
The City has set up two accessible viewing areas for people with disabilities:
- Copley Square – next to Copley MBTA Station Elevator.
- City Hall Plaza – next to Government Center MBTA Station.
Both of these MBTA stations are ADA accessible.
The MBTA says “Customers should exercise caution, stay safe, and be prepared for longer commutes and crowded conditions associated with the high demand for service”
Parade-goers who are looking to find more information on changes or updates to the commuter rail, bus, and subway schedules, fares, parking, and more MBTA services, are encouraged to visit mbta.com/patriots
