City of Pawtucket says warming centers open for extreme cold weather

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Pawtucket said that warming centers would be available throughout the city for upcoming cold weather.

The following centers will be open for the listed times:

  • Pawtucket Police Department Headquarters Lobby
    • 121 Roosevelt Ave.
    • Open 24 hours a day
  • Pawtucket Public Library
    • 13 Summer St.
    • Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
    • Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
    • Sundays: 12 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
  • Leon Mathieu Senior Center
    • 420 Main St.
    • Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Blackstone Valley Visitor’s Center
    • 175 Main St.
    • Open 1o a.m. to 4 p.m. daily

The city also said that seniors with heat-related concerns may contact the staff at the Leon Mathieu Senior Center at 401-728-7582.
