Closing arguments expected in Brian Walshe murder trial as defense rests

DEDHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Brian Walshe murder trial is close to wrapping up with closing arguments slated for Friday.

The defense rested its case Thursday, a day after the prosecution handed the arguments over to Walshe’s defense team.

The defense declined to call witnesses, including Walshe himself who did not testify, according to our ABC affiliate WCVB.

Walshe is accused of murdering his wife Ana on or around New Year’s Day in 2023.

According to police, he then dismembered and disposed of her body, which has not been found.

Walshe pleaded guilty to charges of unlawful disposal of a body and misleading police, but maintains that he did not murder his wife.
