Clouds Move In, Then Rain

Clouds are increasing as we head into Tuesday night, and that sets the trend for what’s ahead. We’ll be mostly cloudy tonight with lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. Wednesday the clouds stick around, and we’ll see a shower or two mid to late morning. Although it won’t become a washout, rain chances increase in the afternoon and evening. The heaviest rain, however, may actually fall Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, alongside a few rumbles of thunder.

We’ll continue to see showers in and out of the area throughout the day Thursday, but it won’t be a washout. Things turn around on Friday, which will be dry throughout the day. That said we’ll be partly sunny with more moisture in the air, so expect a hint of summerlike stickiness, especially with temperatures in the 70s around Southern New England.

Late Friday night the showers return. They stick with us Saturday, and we’ll also likely have a few thunderstorms on Saturday as well. Some of these storms could pack a punch with downpours and gusty winds. We’ll continue to update you should anything change throughout the week.
