Clouds reign this afternoon with breezy conditions!

Thursday Noon Forecast

Our nor’easter is moving out today, but it isn’t going quietly. As the storm pushes into northern New England, colder air will move in and could mix with some snow in northern Providence County midday. No accumulation is expected. Wind is another aspect of this storm and we have tracked impressive gusts locally greater than 45 mph. Winds will relax through the day as the storm lifts northward, but it will still be breezy. From here, all of the rain will become runoff and head to the area rivers. Flood warnings have been issued for the Pawtuxet River in Cranston, The Wood River in Hope Valley, and the Pawcatuck River in Westerly. All will experience minor to moderate flooding into the weekend. Looking to tonight, we will see partly cloudy skied and chilly lows in the lower-30s. Clouds move back in for Friday with showers as well. Saturday is shaping up to be unsettled as well with clouds and showers. Sunday will be drier and mainly cloudy and breezy. All eyes are on Monday for the eclipse and as of Thursday, it is looking spectacular with tons of sunshine and highs near 60.
