NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) – The Coast Guard rescued two 15-year-old boys Saturday after their boat lost power off the coast of Narragansett on Saturday, according to the Point Judith station.

A commercial towing company called the Coast Guard after spotting two teenage males with a disabled 21-foot recreational boat, stranded on a break wall in the Harbor of Refuge near Point Judith.

The Coast Guard sent a 45-foot response boat crew, but the boat was unable to get close enough to the break wall to rescue the teenagers. A swimmer swam to the rocks and successfully brought each boy to the rescue boat.

No injuries were reported. The boat crew brought the boys back safely to the station where they were reunited with their awaiting parents.
