Colder Temperature Trend
Colder air will slowly sweep into Southern New England through the next few days. Overnight tonight, skies will be clear and temperatures will drop into the mid-30s. The clear skies mean sunshine to start Friday and temperatures will quickly warm, but we will only top out in the mid-40s. The coldest air we are expecting arrives Friday night with overnight lows dropping to near 20. Saturday will be sunny and dry but much colder than average, topping out in the upper-30s. Warmer air ends the chilly trend Sunday as highs return to seasonable levels and clouds build in. Rain arrives Sunday night and last through the Monday early commute, accompanied by patchy fog. Monday will be milder with highs in the 50s. Midweek we dry out and turn colder with lows in the 20s and highs near 40 through Thursday.
