Colder weather returns this week
A weak clipper is moving through the Northeast this evening, and while it doesn’t contain much moisture (a passing rain or snow shower) it does reveal plenty of cold air behind it.
High temperatures Tuesday-Thursday will struggle to reach the freezing mark, and with a bit of wind it will feel like the 20s and 10s at times.
Expect plenty of sunshine tomorrow and Wednesday, but a mostly cloudy day Thursday. A weak clipper will again pass through the Northeast, but once again without much moisture.
However, after it passes temperatures will actually go up this time, and we are back to near 40 on Friday. We will head into the mid-40s on Saturday, but there is likely going to be some rain.
We are also keeping an eye on the potential for snow on MLK Day and bitter cold air after that, so stay tuned!
