Conjuring house loan sold, avoids auction block

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — Burrillville’s “Conjuring house” won’t be heading to auction after all.

According to the auction website, Needham Bank sold the mortgage loan for the property.

A well-known “paranormal investigator” had started a GoFundMe in an effort to make sure the house remains accessible to everyone interested in its history.

Jason Hawes, a Warwick man who starred in the TV show “Ghost Hunters,” wanted to raise more than a million dollars.

It is unknown at this time who the buyer is.
