Conn. charges dropped for man accused of stealing Providence police cruiser

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island man accused of stealing a Providence police cruiser and driving into Connecticut had his charges dropped.

Connecticut dropped the charges, since Providence plans to charge 27-year-old Jared Remson within the state.

Remson stole the cruiser last month outside of Rhode Island Hospital, according to police.

Connecticut police initially arrested Remson on several charges.

He’ll be back in court later this month.
