Connecticut State Police save puppy tied to highway guardrail

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WLNE) — Two Connecticut state troopers saved a German Shepherd puppy that had been tied to a highway guardrail Sunday.

Calls came in on Sunday evening that the dog was tied to the guardrail on Route 8, and troopers located the malnourished male dog.

The dog was transported to the Woodbridge Regional Animal Control facility.

Anyone with information as to who abandoned the dog is asked to call Woodbridge Regional Animal Control at 203-389-5991.
