Convicted animal killer back behind bars

A convicted cat killer who was recently released from prison is back behind bars.

Police say 25 year old Anthony Stravato was arrested for violating his probation on Wednesday, for not show up for mandatory mental treatment.

Stravato was released earlier this month after serving 10 months for killing a cat, and a rat, as well as sending indecent photos to a minor.

The D.E.M. even sent out notices to pet stores and animals shelters warning that he may try to buy a pet upon his release.

According to Attorney General Peter Kilmartin’s office Stravato was arraigned today and is being held without bail.

Stravato’s is due back in court September 1st.
