Cooler than normal this week

Nice comfortable air moved into the region this morning and it looks to stay with us pretty much all week long until the weekend. It will be pleasantly cool tonight and a chance to give the air conditioners a break as lows fall into the 50s and even some upper 40s! High pressure overhead will bring another delightful day tomorrow under a mix of sun and clouds with highs returning to the mid 70s.

By Wednesday, a weak weather system will be sliding toward the area bringing a few showers our way for the afternoon and overnight. Dry conditions return Thursday and Friday as we watch Hurricane Erin moving between the Mid-Atlantic coast and Bermuda. It will not make landfall, but will be creating high surf and dangerous rip currents along the south coast.

Heading into the weekend it will warm back into the lower 80s with a little bit of the mugginess.
