Cooling centers open in Southern New England ahead of heat wave

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Cooling centers are opening in Southern New England in anticipation of this week’s heat wave.
ABC 6 meteorologist Chelsea Priest said a heat advisory will go into effect for Wednesday, as temperatures reach the mid-90s with high humidity levels.
