Coventry man indicted in Providence fentanyl, cocaine stash house case

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Coventry man has been indicted on charges of involvement with a fentanyl and cocaine distribution operation, according to the office of Acting United States Attorney Sara Miron Bloom.

Christian Rodriguez, 38, was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

Rodriguez was allegedly involved with the operation that worked out of a Providence stash house, supplying buyers in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Rodriguez was arrested on April 22, when DEA agents said they seized over $100,000 in cash, over 40 grams of fentanyl and cocaine and packaging items.

The court-authorized searches were conducted at both Rodriguez’s Coventry residence and the Providence stash house.

Rodriguez is currently detained in federal custody.
