Coventry officials say school consolidation would cost $1.8 million

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Coventry school committee has met to consider consolidating the town’s elementary schools.

Parents aren’t happy, but officials say that the move could distribute the number of students more evenly.

Parents counter that the consolidation could interfere with their students’ development.
