One dead after motorcycle crash in Coventry, crash remains under investigation

Vehicle Stolen, Cars Broken Into In Coventry

COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE)- A Cranston man has died following a serious crash between a motorcycle and a car that happened in Coventry on Sunday.

Emergency Crews responded to 2233 Plainfield Pike to investigate a motorcycle crash at about 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Police say that when crews arrived on the scene bystanders were performing CPR on the man who had been driving the motorcycle, and life-saving measures were quickly assumed by personnel.

The driver was taken to Kent County Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim is identified as 29-year-old, Raymond Chen.

Coventry Police extend their deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Chen.

The crash remains under investigation by the police reconstruction team.
