Crane used to lift car out after crash in Charlestown

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Charlestown Richmond Fire Department said that a heavy crane was used to lift a car that crashed near the water at Horseshoe Falls early Sunday morning.

The department said the vehicle drove over the bridge.

The victim was able to be removed from the car and brought to safety.

The Charlestown Ambulance Company said the victim was brought to the hospital.
