Cranston city councilman Ferri to enter city mayoral race

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Democratic City Councilman Robert Ferri has entered the race to become the next mayor of Cranston.

“I’m running to be your next Mayor because Cranston needs a leader who will make our city work for its residents,” said Ferri in a statement.

Ferri has received an endorsement from Cranston City Council President Jessica Marino.

Ferri is looking to unseat current Cranston mayor Kenneth Hopkins, who has been at the helm of the city since 2021.
