Cranston had a new Police Chief for the day–6-year-old Braylon O'Neill.
Braylon was transported by a patrol car Friday and taken to Cranston Police headquarters where he was sworn in.
Little Braylon's story is truly inspirational, as he was born without his lower limbs and has been wearing prosthetics his whole life.
The prosthetic limbs were made by Microsoft, landing him a starring role in their Super Bowl commercial this year documenting his progress, telling his story to the country.
Braylon had a busy day as Chief, helping locate an "escaped prisoner" and working with K9 Bosco on his last assignment before the yellow lab retires from his duties. Braylon spent time with members of the Uniform Patrol Division, the Traffic Unit, the Training Division, and finally presided over the 2nd Shift Patrol Roll Call.
Cranston Police said on their Facebook page, " We have been honored to have Braylon as our Chief for the day and are thankful to the O'Neill family for allowing him to spend time with us!"
