Cranston high school student arrested after making social media threat
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said a Cranston East High School student was arrested after making a “threatening post” on social media directed at the school.
The juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct and will appear in Family Court.
Police SROs responded to the student’s home after the Snapchat post was made on Sept. 24 and determined the student “did not have the means to carry out the threat” and it was not credible.
The department added there is no further threat.
