Cranston police have identified the victim in Wednesday night's gruesome murder as Gandy S. Kaydea or “Shad”, 22, of Providence.
Kaydea's body was found burning in the Pocasset Cemetery in Cranston. Firefighters originally responded to Dyer Avenue for a report of a small brush fire near the cemetery entrance. Instead they stumbled upon a body that was engulfed in flames.
Kaydea's last known address is on Progress Avenue in Providence. The woman inside the apartment building tells ABC6 he was the father of her 8 month old daughter.
Police say the murder is gang related. On Friday night investigators, working with the FBI, were seen leaving Kaydea's infant daughters' house.
