Cranston man accused of stealing stolen food stamps for cocaine to appear in court

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A Cranston man will appear in court today for swapping stolen food stamps for cocaine.

59-year-old Michael Minor was arrested back in March for exchanging stolen EBT cards to purchase crack cocaine.

After arresting him, Cranston officers searched his home and confiscated $2,954 in cash and four EBT cards that did not belong to him.

Minor has a lengthy criminal record, consisting of more than 30 arrests across multiple states.

He faces three counts of manufacturing/possession/delivery of crack cocaine and three counts of fraudulent use of food stamps.
