Cranston man carves over 1,400 pumpkins to turn his home into Halloween display

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A decades-long dream has finally come true for one Cranston resident this Halloween season.

Tim Perry had a vision for a “House of 1,000 Pumpkins” display as a nod to the 2003 hit “House of 1,000 Corpses.”

This year, he achieved his goal and more.

Perry has officially carved over 1,400 pumpkins for his display at his home at 46 Elm Drive.

The carvings are a homage to classic Halloween scenes like black cats and witches, as well as characters from popular scary movies.

The display is open for public viewing every night from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

When it gets dark, the display comes to life, with all of the pumpkins lit up in different colors.
