Cranston man involved in North Attleborough fatal crash to face judge

NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — A Cranston man will face an Attleboro District Court judge Tuesday after he was involved in a fatal crash in North Attleborough.

The crash happened at about 4 p.m. Monday on Interstate 95 north near exit 7.

A Foxborough man, 58-year-old Randall Ricketts, was killed in the crash. Two other people in Ricketts’ car were taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where they are stable.

Joseph Pompei, 50, of Cranston, was found a short distance from the crash, said Massachusetts State Police.

Pompei was charged with motor vehicle by negligent operation, leaving the scene of an accident — death resulting, and two counts of the leaving the scene of an accident, causing personal injury.

The crash remains under investigation.
