The Office of the Attorney General has announced that one of the three men charged for the October 2014 shooting death of Terry Robinson, has pleaded guilty.

25-year-old Bruce Moten, of Providence, 21-year-old Tevin Briggs, of Cranston, and 25-year-old Antonio Fortes, of Providence, were charged with murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy, among other charges. Wednesday, Briggs pleaded guilty on all counts in Superior Court.

The three defendants were part of the YNIC criminal street gang. On October 22nd, Moten and Briggs were accused of driving around Providence searching for members of their rival gang, Chad Brown. Fortes called and alerted the other two defendants that he had seen members of Chad Brown at a local convenience store.

Moten and Briggs, armed with firearms, approached a motor vehicle outside the store and fired at the passengers before fleeing. A bullet stuck Terry Robinson, 22, in the head, killing him. Another passenger, Delacy Andrade, was also struck but her injuries were non-life-threatening.

Briggs is being held without bail since his arrest in January on independent firearms charges. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Moten and Fortes are currently incarcerated for independent offenses. They are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on May 1st.
