Cranston Police arrest man for domestic assault, firearms possession

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said it arrested a Warwick man for domestic assault as well as possession of a ghost gun.

32-year-old Chace Ahlborg was charged with possession of a firearm without a license or permit required for carrying a pistol, possessing large capacity feeding devices, domestic simple assault, and domestic disorderly conduct.

Police responded to a disturbance on Meshanticut Valley Parkway around 11 a.m. on Sept. 7, where Ahlborg allegedly surrendered to police.

The department said a search of the apartment found several ghost gun making materials, a fully intact firearm, and several other high capacity loaded magazines.

Ahlborg is awaiting arraignment.
