Cranston Police arrest two men after Sunday shooting; Seize firearm, narcotics

CRANSTON, R.I. – Cranston Police have arrested two men and seized a firearm and narcotics in connection to Sunday afternoon’s shooting on Terrace Avenue.
Police responded to the area after a call at approximately 4:30 p.m. reported several gun shots fired.
Upon arrival, shell casings were found in the roadway.
A passenger in a grey Jeep was determined to have fired several gunshots at an unknown vehicle and fled the scene.
Police discovered the Jeep in the parking lot of Laundry Connection on Dyer Avenue, with the driver’s seat empty and the shooter still in the passenger seat.
The alleged shooter was found to have over 100 pills of Xanax in his possession.
The driver of the Jeep was found to be locked inside a bathroom closet, and was removed by police.
Police found a bullet casing resting on the passenger’s side front windshield and a firearm tucked under the driver’s seat.
A search warrant of the Jeep resulted in the discovery of a loaded Glock 9mm semi-automatic handgun with a second fully loaded magazine.
No victims have yet been identified.
The alleged shooter, Christian Castle, 21, of Pawtucket, has been charged with Drive By Shooting, Conspiracy, License/Permit Required to Carry a Firearm, Possession of Arms by a Person Convicted of a Crime of Violence, Carrying a Firearm while Committing a Crime of Violence, Firing Across a Highway, Firing in a Compact Area, and Possession with Intent to Deliver.
The alleged driver of the Jeep, Adam Gallucci, 22, of Cranston was charged with Drive By Shooting, Conspiracy, and License/Permit Required to Carry a Firearm.
Both Castle and Gallucci are being arraigned Monday morning at Kent County Courthouse.
The shooting is still under investigation.
