Cranston Police Major announces candidacy for State Senate

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston Police Department Maj. Todd Patalano announced his candidacy for State Senate Friday.

Patalano will run as a Democrat in District 26.

He said he has been a member of the Cranston Police Department since 1995, and has also worked as a coach, volunteer, and former board member for the Cranston West Little League.

Patalano holds two degrees from Roger Williams University; a bachelor of science degree from the Administration of Justice program and a master of science degree from the Justice Studies – Executive Law Enforcement program.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to serve the residents of Cranston in a new capacity,” Patalano said. “I love this city and look forward to ensuring that it remains safe, affordable, and the kind of place where our kids get a great education, and our seniors can enjoy their golden years.”
