Cranston Police make several arrests stemming from local carnival fight

Cranston, RI – Cranston Police have announced that they have made eight arrests as a result of a fight that occurred on the evening of May 18th 2016 at a carnival located at Mulligan’s Island Golf and Entertainment Center in Cranston.
Wilson Rivera, 18, of 7 Bristol Road, Newport was arrested Friday and arraigned at Third District Court in Warwick on Felony Assault, Possession of a Weapon Other Than a Firearm and Disorderly Conduct charges. Rivera was identified as the assailant who struck a 16 year-old girl with brass knuckles. He was presented as a probation violator and ordered held without bail at the ACI.
Also arrested were Tayla Barreira, 18, of 60 Perry Hill Road, Coventry on a Disorderly Conduct charge and Patrick Perkins, 19, of 2 Border Street, West Warwick on a Disorderly Conduct charge.
Five juveniles were also arrested, ranging from 15-17 years of age, and reside in the Towns of West Warwick and Coventry.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
