Crash causes traffic backup on Interstate 95 in East Greenwich

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — A crash caused a traffic jam on Interstate 95 southbound in East Greenwich during Thursday’s morning commute.

The three vehicle crash blocked off the two right lanes where Interstate 95 merges to Route 4 just before 9 a.m.

Rhode Island State Police said that no one was hurt in the crash, but one of the vehicles had to be towed.

The scene was cleared by 9:30 a.m.
