Crash in Berkley sends driver to the hospital with ‘life-threatening injuries’

BERKLEY, Mass. (WLNE) — An individual was transported to the hospital after a motor vehicle crash into the woods this morning in Berkley.

According to officials, at approximately 5:30 a.m. troopers assigned to the Middleboro Barracks responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Route 24 southbound.

Officials said troopers had difficulty locating the vehicle due to its final rest location well into the woods. 

However, they eventually did locate the vehicle, which appeared to be located in Freetown, and provided medical aid to the operator.

The driver was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the crash.
