Crash leads to 2 cars in Pawcatuck River

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) — The Westerly Police Department said two cars ended up in the Pawcatuck River after a crash on Main Street.

Police said one car hit another in a lot as it drove into a boat ramp.

The department added that it was most likely a medical event, as witnesses said that the driver was clutching their chest as the incident occurred.

There were no other injuries and the driver was transported to the hospital.
