Crash sends car into Teknor Apex building in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A two-car crash in Pawtucket sent a car into the side of the Teknor Apex building on Central Avenue Tuesday night.
According to Detective Sergeant Theodore Georgitsis with Pawtucket police, a 43-year-old woman traveling west on Central Avenue at the intersection of Robinson Avenue was struck on the driver’s side by a car driven by a 71-year-old man.
Neither people involved in the crash sustained any injuries but the impact caused the woman to lose control, strike a stop sign and a tree. Her car came to rest after striking the side of the Teknor Apex building.
The highway department was notified about the stop sign and tree and a building inspector was notified about the moderate damage the commercial building sustained.
